Russia grants state agencies access to citizens' crypto wallet and transaction data
- —Courts, the central bank, Rosfinmonitoring, FSB, tax and law enforcement gain access
- —Trades and cold-wallet transfers above 1 million rubles will be auto-reported to financial intelligence
- —Platforms must hand over client IDs, addresses, asset types and amounts, dates and counterparties
- —Depositories and exchanges are not required to disclose private keys to addresses
Why it matters: Russian crypto services will become fully transparent to the state, raising risks for holders and reducing transaction anonymity.
