Altcoin selloff: ETH, SOL and XRP fall, TRON, Aptos and Kaspa rise
- —Ethereum fell 2% despite $218 million in inflows into spot ETH ETFs and Bitmine's purchase of 28,086 ETH
- —Solana lost 4% after activation of the Transaction V1 upgrade; DeFi Development Corp. raised $11 million to buy SOL
- —Aptos rose 6.4% after Bitwise filed an S-1 for a spot Aptos ETF, while Kaspa added 23%
- —Bitcoin dominance rose to 59.29% and the altseason index stands at 40, indicating a BTC season
Why it matters: Institutional inflows into ETH and SOL have yet to reverse altcoin weakness; the market remains in a Bitcoin season, and only a break in dominance below 60% could kick off an altseason.
