
SPB Exchange plans to launch crypto trading by year-end
- —SPB Exchange is building a settlement digital depository for crypto transactions
- —The exchange will seek to register the depository with the Bank of Russia
- —The list of eligible cryptocurrencies is still being formed based on liquidity and regulator requirements
- —Moscow Exchange said on Oct. 8 it plans to start crypto trading on Dec. 1
Why it matters: Organized crypto trading on Russian exchanges would give institutions and retail regulated access to digital assets.
