India ordered Apple to remove Dorsey's Bitchat messenger, he says
- —Apple's notice cites Section 69A; Bitchat stays available outside India
- —The app was absent from Google Play, but no order to Google was confirmed
- —Bitchat runs on Bluetooth mesh without internet or central servers
- —In July 2026 India demanded GitHub remove Bitchat repositories
