BlackRock keeps buying as Ethereum tests $2,800
- —BlackRock bought over $1.5 billion of ETH in 20 days: $1.27 billion via ETHA and $296.5 million via ETHB
- —As of Sept. 17 BlackRock held about 3.56 million ETH worth $8.69 billion
- —Ethereum gained about 72.7% in Q3 2026 after declines in the first two quarters
- —A wallet dormant since 2017 sold 2,000 ETH at an average $3,096, netting about $6.19 million
Why it matters: ETF-driven institutional demand is holding ETH at the $2,700–2,800 resistance; a breakout would open the way toward $3,000.
