Binance to Close Funding Account for Deposits on September 29, Rename It Stocks Account
- —From September 29 the Funding Account stops accepting on-chain deposits; manual migration to Spot Account opens
- —In January 2027 the account becomes Stocks Account and remaining balances migrate automatically in batches
- —Stock and stock options settlement will run through a dedicated account in USD, USDC, USDT, USD1, U and BNB
- —An outdated app version will stop showing the Funding balance, and recurring orders paid from it will halt
Why it matters: German users, who can no longer trade under regular terms after the MiCA transition ended, will need the Spot Account to withdraw residual balances.
