Singapore police warn of tampered Ledger devices sold in physical stores
- —At least two cases since Sept. 10, with losses of roughly S$3.5 million
- —Criminals opened genuine Ledgers and added components to intercept seed phrases
- —Ledger says its chip, OS and servers were not compromised
- —Sales suspended at resellers in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong
Why it matters: Resetting a device does not remove a hardware implant, so buying at a physical store no longer guarantees wallet integrity.
