Pakistan builds national chat app on ICP for 100M users, DFINITY founder says
- —App runs on a dedicated Pakistan Cloud Engine subnet on ICP
- —Target audience exceeds 100 million users
- —Project stems from a February 2026 MoU between Pakistan's Digital Authority and DFINITY
- —OpenChat team is contributing; core features were near complete by August
Why it matters: A state deployment of this scale gives ICP a concrete use case, though call performance at 100 million users remains unproven.
