TRON ships mandatory GreatVoyage-v4.8.2.4 upgrade for node operators

  • —Empedocles went live on October 23, 2026, and is mandatory for java-tron node operators
  • —Fixes cover edge-case consistency and smart contract storage and metadata handling
  • —The previous mandatory release, Anaxagoras, shipped on September 30, 2026
  • —TRX holders and ordinary network users need to take no action
Why it matters: The upgrade reduces the risk of network sync inconsistencies, but its impact depends on how quickly operators deploy it.
