Zcash NU7 to shut down Sprout, making old coins unspendable
- —NU7 is set to activate at block 3,543,405, around November 5
- —Coins left in Sprout must be moved before activation or become unspendable
- —Block interval will drop from 75 seconds to 25 seconds
- —60% of per-block fees will be temporarily removed from circulation until ~February 2031
Why it matters: Holders of legacy ZEC must move funds out of Sprout before NU7 activates or lose access to those coins.
