Solana's offline-signing proposal would keep approvals valid after failed transactions
- —Cold key signs an authorization message, not the transaction; a relayer pays the fee
- —Assets and permissions must be migrated to a program-derived address
- —Programmatic Signer lets a relayer add instructions around the approved action
- —Vector requires surrounding instructions to be approved before signing
Why it matters: Exchanges, custodians and treasury operators must migrate assets and permissions to the new address type or lose offline signing.
