Robinhood Chain activity drops 42% as daily transactions fall from 10.8M to 6.2M
- —Daily transactions fell to 6.2 million on Oct. 2–8 from 10.8 million in mid-September, a 42% drop
- —Weekly spot volume declined 21% to $7.45 billion, with Uniswap handling about 77%
- —Daily active addresses dropped 31% to roughly 322,000; network fees fell 39% to about $65,000 a day
- —Deposits in lending and trading apps rose 2% to $1.04 billion; perpetual futures volume climbed 26%
Why it matters: Robinhood keeps roughly nine-tenths of network fees, so the slowdown directly hits chain revenue and raises doubts about its tokenization strategy.
