Sui Sets Record With 40.6 Million TPS Settled to Mainnet via Sui Tunnels

  • —Sui tunnels hit 40,614,180 TPS in a live test at Sui Basecamp
  • —Previous July 4 record was 6,086,766 TPS, a more than 6x increase
  • —Over 10,000 tunnels opened on mainnet within seconds during the test
  • —CertiK will review proofs and logs and publish a report in coming days
Why it matters: The record showcases Sui's capacity for agentic commerce, though real demand for such throughput remains unproven.
