Bitcoin rejected at $87,000 for third time since Sept. 23, slips to $85,600
- —BTC dropped 1.2% to $85,600 after a third rejection above $87,000 since Sept. 23
- —Total crypto market cap fell to about $2.93 trillion, just below $2.95 trillion resistance
- —10-year Treasury yield rose to 5.32%, levels last seen in 2002
- —ADA gained 11%, GRT 7% and NEAR nearly 7%, while BNB lost 2.5%
Why it matters: Bitcoin is nearing the apex of a triangle; a break above $87,000 would open the way to eight-month highs, while a failure risks sharper volatility.
