BSV adopts BRC-162 token standard with script-readable data
- —BRC-162 merges the BSV-21 token model and BRC-92 encoding into one standard
- —Transfer locking script shrinks from about 172 bytes to 62 bytes, roughly 60%
- —Existing BSV-21 tokens keep their IDs and need no migration
- —Wallet and indexer support is still pending, with the spec listing 'None yet'
Why it matters: It makes token amounts enforceable by ordinary opcodes in contracts and AMMs, but the benefit arrives only once wallets and indexers ship support.
