Synthetix to shut down its legendary Discord on October 9

  • —Synthetix will fully shut down its Discord on October 9 after a week-long wind-down
  • —Communication moves to Telegram, with access restricted to token holders
  • —The server hosted early meetings of Aave, Curve, Optimism and Illuvium founders
  • —Launched in 2017 as Havven, the protocol has wound down its sUSD stablecoin
Why it matters: The closure of a historic hub marks the decline of one of DeFi's earliest protocols and a shift in where the industry gathers.
